"If the ball lies off the green but not in a hazard, and within two club-lengths of the obstruction, and the obstruction lies on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the ball may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point that gives relief from the obstruction, but not nearer the hole, in a hazard or on the green."

Rules 18-2, 18-3 and 20-1 are modified as follows:

"When a player's ball is on the green, there is no penalty if the player, their partner, their opponent, or any caddie or equipment accidentally moves the ball or ball-marker. The moved ball or ball-marker must be replaced in accordance with Rules 18-2, 18-3 and 20-1. This Local Rule applies only when the ball or ball-marker is on the green and the movement was accidental."

Note: If it is established that the player's ball on the green was moved by wind, water or another natural cause such as gravity, the ball must be played from its new location. Likewise, a ball-marker moved in the ways mentioned above must be replaced.
